Gateway Pentecostal Church is a church dedicated to reaching the people of our area with the whole Gospel and teaching and equipping them with the tools necessary to carry this message forward. We believe the power of the Holy Ghost experienced by the apostles in the early church did not die 2,000 years ago, but is very much alive today.

We call ourselves "Pentecostal" because we trace our roots back to a very important event detailed in the Bible's book of Acts. This event happened on the Jewish holiday of Pentecost, shortly after Jesus Christ was crucified. The apostles and more than one hundred others were fervently praying in an upper room in Jerusalem. Then suddenly, there came a sound like a rushing mighty wind. "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:4.

The power of the Holy Ghost was so strong upon each of them, they spilled out into the street. Those witnessing the scene thought the men and women were drunk. But Peter, the same apostle who out of fear denied Christ three times, was now filled with such boldness, courage and wisdom he stood in the midst of the crowd of people and told them what they needed to do to know Christ.

"Repent," said Peter. "And be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Act 2:38

The Holy Ghost is just that a gift. It equips believers with power, hope, strength, peace, faith and much more. And, it is a gift that's being poured out in churches and homes around the world even today.

We at Gateway Pentecostal Church are committed to sharing this message of hope and healing. God has not left us powerless. He is real. He is near. And, He is waiting to pour out His Spirit on all who ask.......
