Growing Kid’s Gods Way is based on the belief that child rearing is a responsibility given by God to parents. During the 17-week small group class, parents will not only learn the precepts taught in the Bible about parenting, but the day-to-day practical application that is needed to raise a morally responsible and Biblically responsive child.
Topics include: character development, the father’s mandate, how to say “I Love You” in your child’s love language, principles of obedience, elements of discipline, guidelines for chastisement and teenage rebellion and developing your child’s moral conscience.
Although man looks on the outward appearance, God looks on the heart, according to 1 Samuel 16:7. The principles in Growing Kids are designed to work, not on a child’s outward behavior, but rather on the inner attitudes of the heart from where the issues of life flow. Once you have captured the heart of your child, the outward behavior will fall into line.
The class includes a book for weekly reading and an outline that will be filled in during the weekly class discussion. For single parents, a single parent supplement guide is also available.
